While in Germany I got to go on a Presidential mission in Paris, France. While there we had some free time to see the city and some of its sights. These are a few pictures of some of the places I went.

Here we are flying in formation with Marine 1 on the way to the conference the President was attending.

A picture of a villa near where the conference was held.

Marine 1 waiting on the President.

Just a picture of me with Marine 1 in the background.

The Eiffel Tower as seen on the
way to the conference.

The Arch de Triumph as seen
from the Eiffel Tower.

One of the many monuments
found in the city of Paris.

Another of the many monuments.

This is a front view of the internationally
famous Notre Dame cathedral.

This is the main entrance to Notre Dame.
This is a close-up of the front en- trance. It shows all of the detail of the sculpture work.
A view of one of the towers on the corner of the cathedral.

The view down the side of Notre Dame.

The beautiful statue inside the cathedral.

One of the many stained glass
windows viewed from inside.

Another group of stained glass windows.
The following pictures are of the tomb of Napoleon. The large main building houses a military museum. The part of the building that is in the other wing is the actual tomb. It is the gold dome seen in the first picture. If you notice in the pictures you may be able to tell how large the casket actually is (it's huge.)

The main street view of the museum.

A close-up of some of the stone work
along the roof of the museum.

A view of the casket. You can see me in the background and compare my size to that of the  statues. In the top of the picture you can see the location of the cross shown in a picture later.

In this picture you can compare the size of the statues to that of the casket and the people on the other side.

Another view of the casket.

This is on the second floor in the main building of the tomb.
The following pictures were taken in The Louvre, an internationally renowned art museum. In houses some of the most famous pieces of art in the world such as the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and so many others. To really appreciate the artwork in The Louvre it would be best to get a book as there is no way to do it justice by viewing it on a monitor. The museum is so large you could spend days visiting it just trying to see everything. I would recommend it as a major stop to someone visiting Paris. I have mainly included a few pictures of a couple of the ceilings because they were so impressive.

This picture is to illustrate the large size of some of the art. Some of the paintings are so large they probably would cover most people's living room wall. You just don't get the same impression of the grandeur from viewing the art from a book that you do in person.
