I lived in South Korea twice, for a year each time. These are a few images I took while there.
(Click on thumbnails to see a larger version.)

This tunnel was built by Korean POWs while Korea was occupied by Japan.

A closer view of the tunnel.
This is a statue of Buddha in a monastery.
This is a wider view of the monastery in the previous picture.
This is a church that supposedly was built to the same dimensions as Noah's Ark.
This is another view of the same church.
Just a pretty picture of the morning fog. This must be why South Korea is known as "The land of the morning calm".
These are ginseng huts. Ginseng must be grown in the shade so these shelters are built to protect the plants from the sun.
A little low level flight through the hills of  Korea.
This little monument was known by American pilots as Mamasan - Papasan - Babysan. See the little baby on the shoulder of the left person?
This is just a sample of some of the tiny landing zones we had to land on in the mountains of Korea.
Another example of the small LZs we had to land on. Almost every mountain top had several of these to overlook the valleys below. These were for defense.
This monument was way up in a crevasse in the mountains. You can see how large it is by comparing in to the building it is beside. I don't know how they got it up there.
This is a picture of the Korean National Cemetery in Seoul, the capitol.
This is a picture of a couple of the tombs of previous Korean rulers. The Korean's bury people under  large mounds of dirt commonly referred to as "happy mounds".
Just a picture of the rice paddies in the countryside.

A picture of a typical small town in Korea.
A row of Hueys parked during the annual field exercise called "Team Spirit". Anyone for camping?
Another buddha house in the mountains. Buddha houses are prevalent throughout the country.
