This page contains pictures of vehicle accident scenes from which the crews have transported patients. This page doesn't contain any pictures of deceased victims. To the best of my knowledge all of the surviving victims in these pictures arrived at the hospital alive thanks to the hard work of the ground and flight EMS personnel. Many thanks go to all of the EMS, fire and law enforcement personnel who do such a great job at these accident scenes.

This sequence of pictures is of a car that was hit in the center by a "Dooley" pickup and was actually cut in half. The two people in the car died however the person in the truck lived.

This is a  picture of the car that was actually cut in two halves by the accident. Click the picture to find the two halves.

This is a ground view of the two halves of the car. Click the image to see where everything ended up after the impact.

A fireman and paramedic working on a patient.

The driver of the white car lost control, crossed a ditch and launched into the air smashing into the red car which was being towed by the motorhome.

A view of the previous mishap from a different angle.

Here they are cutting the red car loose from th motorhome. The pipe on the left side of the picture is being used to stabilize the car.

The next six pictures are a series from a Jeep Cherokee accident. The Cherokee hit a parked pickup truck and launched into the air, stopping after impacting a tree. The Jeep hit the tree with the center of its roof and folded over like a taco shell. Amazingly there was a survivor.

This is the truck that the Cherokee hit which lauched it into the air before impacting the tree.

This is a view of the bottom of the back of the Cherokee. You can see the rear axle and fuel tank.

This is a view of the bottom of the engine
on the Cherokee (the front of the Cherokee).

Here the firemen and paramedics attempt to remove one of the passengers. One of the people in the Cherokee died and the other survived the accident.

Crews waiting for the passenger to be extracted.

If you look closely you can see both ends of the Cherokee next to each other.

This car crossed the centerline on a bridge
and was struck by an 18 wheeler. That
is the car's engine in the foreground.

This is a closeup of the previous picture. The
driver probably wasn't killed because she
was wearing  her seat belt and had an airbag.

Not all scenes are vehicle accidents. This next picture is of a guy that accidentally shot himself in the face with a shotgun. Amazingly this guy was sitting in a chair two days later and was discharged from the hospital soon afterward. Some people will think it is pretty gross so view it at your own risk.

Go ahead..... show me.

The next set of pictures are of a guy whose throat was cut by someone that attacked him.
Amazingly this guy went home two days later. It is pretty graphic.

I'm ready for it.

One last picture. This guy was driving down the road and lost control of his car, smashing into a pipe fence. HE called 911 to get emergency personnel to come help him. After cutting him and some of the fence out of the car he was transported to the local hospital. They then called us to transport him to our hospital. After his recovery he was presented this piece of pipe as a memento by the trauma surgeon that treated him.

Let me see it.
